The pelvic floor is a group of muscles and connective tissue that contributes to bladder and bowel control, the support of the internal organs, and trunk stability.
Dysfunctions such as urinary or gas leakage, a feeling of urgency, organ descent (prolapse) and regional pain are more common than people think. Childbirth, menopause, chronic constipation and certain surgical procedures can affect this picture; the diagnosis and any necessary assessment are made by a physician.

The general 'Kegel' exercises that are often recommended may not be appropriate for every situation; for this reason the programme is determined according to the person's condition and carried out with the guidance of the relevant physician.
